In Gratitude

Birth Lounge is a volunteer-run festival that is truly created by the community. Each year we receive extraordinary donations from local companies and individuals to help bring together all that Birth Fest has to offer. Our raffle table will help to support the Aboriginal Mothers Centre of Vancouver.

Collaboration

When we first envisioned Birth Fest, we recognized Britannia Community Centre as an ideal location. Truly the hub of the Commercial Drive neighborhood, Britannia has graciously donated the use of Gym D and helped us obtain both tables and chairs for the event since 2006.

Nurture Nook

Each year Birth Fest has quiet nook where parents can rest with their children & mamas can feed babies in comfort. This year we are thrilled to have a donation of a purple (perfect!) tent from spud! within which to create the Nurture Nook. In addition, spud! will provide organic apples for hungry parents and children in the nook. We are also blessed to have the use of fabulous breastfeeding pillows from YOUpillows

All those who sign up on our Birth Lounge email list at the front door will be entered to win the grand prize:

One Month of Harvest Boxes from spud! One lucky family will win weekly home delivery of a bounty of delicious organic vegetables & fruit.

Raffle Prizes

Each year features a bounty of fabulous raffle prizes from vendors and others in our community. If you would like to contribute a raffle prize please contact us at raffle@birthlounge.com.

Volunteers

We rely on volunteer hours for both setup & takedown of Birth Fest as well as support on the day of the event. Many local parents and birth and family support professionals donate their time to supporting Birth Fest.
